To secure our straps to your bag we’ll need to make attachments. In this tutorial, I’m using leather scraps but you can definitely sew an attachment using fabric lined with interfacing (for strength). I cut four 3 inch leather tabs.

Use a leather punch to make holes for sewing.

Place your straps on your front/back external panels-I just eyeball this so pick the location that looks good to you. The big thing is to make sure the straps are symmetrically spaced on your panel.

Now sew your leather or fabric tabs to the bag.
